Some people believe that they are not good learners. However, it is very likely they do not know their learning style.
There are many ways to learn. Some students, for instance, are better at seeing information in the form of spider diagrams, whereas others need mnemonics or formulating questions to then answer.
In addition to this we must consider how our personalities effect our studying. For example, do you prefer to be in a study group or on your own?
Often at school when we don’t do so well in exams we think the answer is to study harder. But why spend more time revising in a way that is not working for you?
Sometimes, we copy other students’ revision techniques – but that works for them and not necessarily for you. We are all different.
As a Learning Coach I can show you a different way to study that is most effective to your needs, to improve your ability to remember key information, optimum note taking and more.
If you have a fear about exams, or have a limiting belief about your capabilities then I can use Cognitive Hypnotherapy to help you.
